How coaching helps

Practical, one-to-one support for changing your relationship with alcohol

Alcohol coaching is a series of conversations with someone whose job is to help you get where you want to go — without judgement, labels or a fixed program you have to fit into.

Who alcohol coaching can help

You do not need a diagnosis, a label or a dramatic story. If alcohol is taking up more room in your head than you would like, coaching can help.

  • People who are questioning their drinking but do not feel it is a crisis
  • People who are sober curious and want to try life with less
  • People stuck in a stop-start cycle
  • People who want to stop altogether and want company doing it
  • People whose drinking has crept up alongside stress, work or life changes

What the work looks like

  1. Step 1

    Getting clear

You talk through where alcohol currently sits in your life and what you actually want instead. No assessment, no labels.

  2. Step 2

    Understanding the pull

Coaching looks at the beliefs and situations that make a drink feel necessary, so the desire eases rather than being white-knuckled.

  3. Step 3

    Building the practical stuff

Social events, travel, evenings at home, the people around you — you work out what you will do, in advance.

  4. Step 4

    Keeping it going

Regular conversations to adjust, reflect and hold the goal steady while new habits settle.
